READINGS JUNE 3rd June Trinity Sunday Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31 Romans 5:1-5 John 16:12-15 The unique truth of god is celebrated today, as we reflect that God is Creator, Redeemer and Life-Giver.
10th June 1st after Trinity 1 Kings 17:8-end Galatians 1:11-24 Luke 7:11-17 Our God is full of compassion; he hears our crying and it is his nature to rescue us.
17th June 2nd after Trinity 1 Kings 21:1-14 Galatians 2;15-21 Luke 7:36-8:3 God has the authority and the desire to forgive our sins completely and set us free from guilt.
24th June 3rd after Trinity 1 Kings 19:1-7 Galatians 3:23-29 Luke 8:26-39 God is close through all our troubles, and can bring us safely through them.
Family Worship
Our next Family Worship will be 1st July 10.00am. This is an informal, non-Eucharistic, service for people of all ages, both young and old. But we would particularly encourage those with young families to come along and join with us. The service will last about an hour and there will be refreshments afterwards, and an opportunity to meet with other people.
Communion Services outside the Church BuildingKnowlewood Knap: Holy Communion 5th June at 10am in the day room. Hyde Place: Holy Communion 14th June at 10am in the day room. Anyone may go along to these services especially if you feel that you are unable to access Holy Rood Church for the services there. Home Communion for the sick and houseboundThe Pastoral Team, LPA’s and Readers, help in taking communion to the sick and housebound. This is after the Communion Service in church, usually on a Wednesday. If you or anyone you know is unable to come to any of the services, either in Holy Rood, Knowlewood Knap or Hyde Place please let me know, and I will arrange for you to receive communion at home.
