Wool Churches TogetherCelebrating "One World Week" on Sunday 30th October3.00pm at St. Joseph's R.C. ChurchThe theme of One World Week this year is Promises, Promises! 2005 is a year full of promises for progress towards trade justice. It is a year that features many agencies working together in the UK to "Make Poverty History", and a worldwide Global Week of Action. Many promises will be made during the year relating to the environment, the continent of Africa, and the poorest communities of the world. One World Week reminds us that, no matter where we live in the world, we are linked together by sharing one planet. Because we are all dependant on each other, we have a reason to celebrate. This is also a serious challenge to us as well, and requires our commitment to pray, take action to change the things that cause injustice or environmental damages to people and places to which we are irreversibly linked.
