Goodbye to Bob . .Our friends in the adjacent Benefice of East and West Lulworth, East and West Chaldon, and Winfrith, are now in a period without their Parish Priest as Revd. Bob Naylor left them on Sunday 25th November to go on to his next Parish in Jersey. They have our church's sympathy - for Bob and his wife Joan will be much missed - and our prayers, as they seek the next person to take Bob's place. And we in Holy Rood of course are praying for Bob, who was our Rural Dean too, and for his wife Joan, as they move house to begin a new chapter in their ministry. Thank you both for all you have done for us in Wool - we are very grateful.
. . and goodbye to Hambury ToutBefore Bob's farewell service in his Church, he and his folk group Hambury Tout gave another kind of farewell - their farewell concert. For as from Saturday night Hambury Tout is no more. They have given us all enormous pleasure over the years and all of us who enjoyed the concerts say "thank you" to you all, both present and past members. By special request - and Ruth Harrison, if you get this far it was your request! - here are a few (not very good) pictures of that beautifully, but dimly lit last concert - which will give the general atmosphere.
