From the Parish News . . .Try Something New! No doubt many of you have seen the latest Sainsbury’s ad.? ‘Try Something New’, it exhorts us. It isn’t claiming new improved anything, but rather that their customers should be more imaginative. Why not be more imaginative as to how you could spend some of your time in the period immediately before Christmas and, over the Christmas period. Instead of rushing around doing last minute Christmas shopping, and preparations, come and join us in one of the many services we will be having over this period. Christmas is a time for tradition, a time for families, a time to reflect on God’s goodness to us. But so often we get caught up in the commercialism of Christmas, and forget the real meaning of Christmas. The message of Christmas is the same as it was over 2000 years ago. Like the Sainsbury’s advert we aren’t claiming a new improved message, but we do want you to come and share with us in celebrating the Good News of God’s love for everyone.
