IV - Outcomes

Mission Statement:

We produced a draft Mission Statement to be refined and adopted by the PCC.

Our purpose is to:

	Worship God
	Be the presence of Christ in the community
	Extend God's Kingdom to all creation as a conduit of God's love
	Share the good news of what Jesus has done for us

Primary Activities:

We identified our primary activities to be:

	Worship and Prayer
	Social Action in the Community
	Christian Outreach and Evangelism
	Christian Fellowship and Encouragement
	Christian Teaching and Learning

Goals:

We identified about 20 possible goals, and selected four for action over the next year. These were:

	Review home groups and initiate new groups appropriate to individual needs
	Review services to ensure they meet the needs of all worshippers and newcomers
	Initiate Christian meetings at other times and other places {e.g. for those who find Sunday difficult)
	Provide teaching on prayer

Our next steps:

The PCC needs to refine the mission statement and review its structures to ensure our primary activities are given proper consideration and oversight, and that specific goals are achieved. We need to establish a pattern of planning, action and evaluation for short and longer term objectives.
