25th September & 2nd October Who are you inviting? Who are you inviting is the theme for this year’s Back to Church Sunday? Now is the tome to put the dates in your diary and begin to pray for the people you would like to invite. Maybe there’s someone you’ve invited in previous years but couldn’t come, or you have some new neighbours. On Sunday 25th September there will be two morning services, a lunch and an evening service. On 2nd October Revive! An informal service for all ages together will also be a Back to Church service. Think about your friends, neighbours, and other contacts and ask which service will be right for them? Invitation cards and prayer cards will be available in church from Sunday 14th August.
Harvest Celebrations Our Harvest celebration will be a service followed by lunch on Sunday 9th October. More details to follow, but please note the date now so you can be part of it and start thinking about who you would like to invite.
Enthronement of our new Bishop Nicholas Holtam was ordained and consecrated as bishop on 22nd July. His ministry among us will begin formally with his enthronement in Salisbury on 15th October. Admission to the service is by ticket only due to the capacity of the Cathedral. Applicants for tickets should e-mail the Dean’s Secretary Lizzie Rowe, l.rowe@salcath.co.uk, by Friday 2nd September. Seats will be allocated so as to ensure as wide as possible representation of the varied communities of the Diocese.
